CHESTER COUNTY, N.C. — A 27-year-old was found fatally shot in Chester Saturday night, sparking a homicide investigation, according to the Chester County Sheriff’s Office.
While deputies were patrolling the Saluda Street area, around 10:40 p.m., they heard gunshots in the Eureka Mill neighborhood.
Soon after, officers arrived at a 3rd Street home. Upon arrival, deputies found the victim, later identified as Quentin Linsey Williams, on the ground.
The victim was suffering from gunshot wounds. Deputies began rendering aid to Williams while calling for EMS.
Williams was transported to a local hospital where he later died due to his injuries.
This investigation is active and ongoing.
