CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte Area Transit System officials remind riders that masks are still required while onboard all public transit until May 3rd.
The mask mandate aligns with federal Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requirements and includes all passengers on CATS buses, LYNX Blue Line, the CityLYNX Gold Line and Special Transportation Services.
Officials say although the Mecklenburg County Board of Commissioners voted to repeal the county-wide mask mandate effective February 26th, TSA directives override any local or state mandates within the scope of public transporation.
