Police: 28-Year-Old Woman, Juvenile Charged In Kannapolis Shooting

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. — Police have made two arrests in shooting that occurred on April 10th in Kannapolis.

Both Aysia Streater, 28, of Oakboro and a 17-year-old boy have been arrested and charged with Discharging a Weapon into Occupied Property/Moving Vehicle for their involvement, according to a news release.

Police say the juvenile was additionally charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury.

On April 10th, Kannapolis Police responded to reports of the shooting near NC Highway 73 and Shiloh Church Road.

Police say 28-year-old Quadrie Jackson of Davidson was struck multiple times by gunfire and he is expected to recover from his injuries.

Streater is being held in the Cabarrus County Jail under a $100,000 bond and the juvenile is being held in the Cabarrus Regional Juvenile Detention Center, according to a news release.

The investigation into this shooting is active and ongoing.
