CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person was shot and killed in north Charlotte Sunday evening, sparking a homicide investigation, according to police.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police responded to Metals Drive, off of North Graham Street, around 9:10 p.m. after receiving an assault with a deadly weapon with injury call for service.
Upon arrival, officers found a man with an apparent gunshot wound. Medic responded and pronounced the victim, identified as 39-year-old Steven Lowe II, dead at the scene.
The investigation into this case is active and ongoing.
