Concord Police Search For Suspect Of 2 Bank Robberies

CONCORD, N.C. — The Concord Police Department is asking for the public’s help with identifying the suspect responsible for two bank robberies in Concord on Wednesday.

On April 20th at 1:53 p.m., officers say an unidentified Black man entered Truist Bank on Poplar Tent Road NW and presented the teller with a note and stated he had a weapon.

Police say the suspect left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a 20 to 30-year-old Black man, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, and approximately 160-180 pounds.

Around 3 p.m. on that same Wednesday, April 20th, police say the same suspect entered the Bank OZK on Penny Lane.

Detectives say this time he was wearing a black Vans jacket, grey mask, and a black North Face beanie.

Once inside the bank, police say the suspect presented a similar note to the teller demanding money.

The suspect once again left with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to a news release.
