Deputies: 64-Year-Old Charged With Trafficking Over $61,000 Worth Of Drugs In Lenoir
CALDWELL COUNTY, N.C. — A 64-year-old Lenoir man has been arrested and charged for trafficking meth and fentanyl, according to deputies.
The Caldwell County Sheriffβs Office S.W.A.T and Narcotic Units conducted a search warrant at Don Cox’s residence on April 14.
As a result of the search, deputies seized approximately 60 grams of fentanyl, 300 grams of methamphetamine and $461 in cash.
The drugs seized during the investigation has a total street value of over $61,000, according to North Carolina State Drug Guidelines.
Deputies say Cox was arrested and charged with multiple counts of trafficking in fentanyl and methamphetamine and maintaining a dwelling to distribute narcotics.
βThere is zero tolerance for a drug dealer. If youβre going to distribute this poison in our neighborhoods, then be prepared to face the consequences,” Caldwell County Sheriff Alan Jones.
