Four Arrested, Charged For Stolen Property In Iredell County

IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. — Four people have been arrested in Iredell County after an investigation led to the discovery of stolen items, including a vehicle, and drugs, according to the sheriff’s office.

The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office received a tip in Oct. 2021 from a citizen about a property being used for illegal activities.

After receiving the tip investigators began to monitor the area by placing surveillance cameras on the property with the owner’s permission.

Investigators were able to locate and recover a stolen vehicle, and several stolen tools, in March. The items have been returned to their owners.

Based on additional evidence obtained, investigators were able to identify the suspects.

As the investigation continued into the suspects, multiple criminal and drug-related crimes were solved by the sheriff’s office.

Deputies say 25-year-old Christopher Handy was charged with felony larceny, felony possession of methamphetamine, felony larceny of motor vehicle, felony larceny of firearm, felony possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, felony breaking or entering, felony larceny after breaking or entering, felony obtain property by false pretense, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor trespassing, and misdemeanor possession of stolen property.

According to the sheriff’s office, 36-year-old Jonathan Lowman, 28-year-old Lane Perry, and 30-year-old Chelsea Millsaps were each charged with misdemeanor possession of stolen property.
