The Bright Spot: Come-See-Me Festival
ROCK HILL, S.C. — The annual and award-winning Come-See-Festival is a week-long is underway in Rock Hill. This iconic festival began back in the early 60s as a way to showcase the beautiful blooms in Glencairn Gardens and celebrate spring. What you might not know is that their cute little mascot Glen the Frog was created by Rock Hilly local Vernon Grant, who created Kellogg’s gnomes Snap, Crackle and Pop.
This Toad-ally awesome celebration has more than 60 events planned now through April 30 including the Mayors Frog Race, movie nights at Fountain Park, food trucks, Hops at the Park – a beer festival, and live entertainment at Glencairn Garden. The grand finale next weekend will feature a tailgate and fireworks at Winthrop Lake next Saturday night.
