A Little Taste of Summer
Temperatures continue to climb the ladder as we head into the final week of April.
We’re barely one full month into spring, but summer is stopping by the Carolinas a bit early this year. After a slight cooldown this Saturday afternoon, sunshine and southerly winds will push temperatures back into the mid-80s across the Piedmont and Foothills on Sunday. The mountains can expect temperatures in the mid-70s for the second half of the weekend.
The warmest air we’ve seen all year so far arrives on Monday. While the Metro tops out in the mid-to-upper 80s, some spots to the southeast have an outside chance of cracking 90º for the first time in 2022. A cold front brings rain, storms, and cooler air back into the forecast on Tuesday, but sunny skies pick up where they left off for the second half of the week ahead.
