Edge On The Clock: Driver Sets Guinness World Record In Electric Van

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — An electric van ride has set a world record, ads on video games, and MIT’s mission for perfect Oreo separation — all on Edge on the Clock.

Electric Van World Record

Just in time for Earth Day, a BrightDrop driver has set the Guinness World Record, for the greatest distance traveled by an electric van on a single charge.

Stephen Marlin competed the 260-mile trip, from New York City to Washington, D.C.

The accomplishment was a collaboration with Fedex. The trip wasn’t just to set a record, the vehicle has an actual delivery to make.

It dropped off sustainable cleaning products to an organic market in Washington, D.C.

Ads for Playstation

Ads are taking over and may soon interrupt the video game playing experience.

According to an insider report, Sony is working to bring ads to free-to-play Playstation games.

The ads are meant to give game developers a way to monetize their work and encourage them to continue building free-to-play games.

Microsoft is also pursuing a version of the concept.

Both Sony and Microsoft’s in-game ads are expected to launch by the end of the year.

Oreo Separation

MIT researchers are on a mission to see if it’s possible to get a perfectly even split when separating Oreos.

The study was led by MIT PHD candidate and self-proclaimed “Oreologist” Crystal Owens.

The team used complex math and physics, and a 3-D printed twisting device to try and crack the cookie-cracking case.

But, alas, her team ultimately concluded that there was no way to evenly split the creme and cookies.
