CHARLOTTE, NC — The Checkers conquered the Bruins in dramatic fashion in their regular-season finale on Saturday night, claiming the Atlantic Division crown and earning a bye into the second round of the Calder Cup Playoffs. This is the second division championship that the Checkers have won in franchise history.
As Atlantic Division champions, the Checkers have clinched a first-round bye and can host a maximum of 14 home games if home-ice advantage is secured throughout the playoffs.
