CFD: Residents Forced To Evacuate After South Charlotte Apartments Caught Fire

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Dozens of residents were forced to evacuate when a fifth floor apartment went up in flames in south Charlotte Wednesday night, according to the Charlotte Fire Department.

Charlotte Fire says over 50 firefighters were able to get the incident under control within 40 minutes at the Inspire Apartment Homes.

No injuries have been reported, fire officials say.

The cause of the two-alarm fire is currently under investigation.
