Early Voting For May 17th Primary Begins Thursday In Mecklenburg County

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Early voting begins Thursday in Mecklenburg County for the May 17th primary.

You’ll finally get a chance to vote in the primary for Charlotte Mayor and City Council.

Delayed census data caused last year’s election to be postponed.

“It will be different when you go in there and you see City of Charlotte, and you see County Commissioner, and U.S. Senate, and a U.S. House,” says Mecklenburg County Director of Elections Michael Dickerson.

If you’re not registered to vote, it’s not too late.

You can do same-day voter registration in North Carolina, assuming you meet the residency requirement.
