CHARLOTTE, N.C.– New Zealand is proposing a taxing farmers for cow farts. The country’s Prime Minister made the announcement on Tuesday. She says it is an important step that could take the country in the direction when it comes to combatting climate change.
New Zealand is a major producer of livestock and meat exporter with 10 million cattle and sheep. That accounts for half of the country’s total emissions.
