Gaston County Child Shot and Killed

GASTON COUNTY, N.C. —  Gaston County officials confirm that a four-year-old boy was shot and killed Tuesday afternoon at a mobile home on Cindy Lane off Hickory Grove Road.

First responders were called at 4:22 p.m. to the Twin Oaks Mobile Home park where they found the child with a gunshot wound.  Police said they took life-saving measures, but medics declared the child deceased at the scene.

Gaston County police have not released what may have lead to the shooting. They’re continuing their investigating.
