Death Toll Rising Following Earthquake In Morocco
Nearly 3,000 people have died with the death toll expected to rise
Destruction and devastation blankets parts of Morocco after a magnitude 6.8 earthquake struck Friday night. This was Morocco’s strongest earthquake in over a century.
The epicenter of the magnitude 6.8 earthquake was in the High Atlas mountain range. This roughly 70 miles southwest of Marrakech.
Nearly 3,000 people have died. Search and rescue efforts are still ongoing.
