Freeze Warning in Effect Tonight

A freeze warning has been issued for all but a few counties within the far eastern edge of the WCCB viewing area from midnight until 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Day 2 Freeze And Frost Alerts

Monday afternoon brought record-tying highs across parts of the region as temperatures reached the mid-80s. A strong cold front will make for a much different forecast Tuesday with temperatures falling through the day into the mid-50s — a good 30-degree change. The first freeze for many will set in Wednesday morning as temperatures plummet into the 20s and 30s across the region.

Dma Low Temp Tonight

A strong cold front will leave its mark as temperatures slowly fall through Halloween. Drier and colder air will expand across the region overnight. Winds out of the northwest will make for a blustery start Wednesday with wind chills down to the single digits for the highest elevations. It will feel like the 20s across most of the region.

Ndfd Wind Chill

A freeze watch is in effect Wednesday night through Thursday morning for all remaining counties not included in the freeze warning tonight. The winds will calm, but temperatures will be even colder Thursday morning — falling into the teens and 20s for much of the region.

Day 3 Freeze And Frost Alerts

Make sure you bring in your pets tonight and cover precious plants. A light freeze with temperatures falling to 29-32F will damage tender plants. A moderate freeze with temperatures falling below 28F will kill most tender plants.

Morning Lows Next 2 Days

The average first freeze for the Piedmont arrives within the first week of November.
