Construction Work Underway As More Businesses Open In Uptown’s Queen City Quarter
CHARLOTTE — Have you noticed? There are signs of progress in Uptown’s new Queen City Quarter. Construction is now underway in the old EpiCentre complex on College Street in an effort to breathe new life in what was once a thriving mecca of entertainment in Charlotte.
In the midst of all this progress, new businesses are popping up everywhere you look inside the QCQ. Ira Guinn opened Super Icy Brothers — a sweet premium shoppe — specializing in Vegan ice cream. Jambah Warner, owner of Privee Clothing Rhema’s Boutique, opened her upscale, family-owned business back in September.
Groundbreaking at Queen City Quarter is expected to take place in the spring of 2024.
