CALDWELL COUNTY N.C. – A Granite Falls pastor has been arrested in connection with child exploitation crimes, according to a news release.
Deputies with the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office and assistance from the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce Program (ICAC) executed two search warrants at the home and workplace of 51-year-old Ashley Crouse in Granite Falls.
Deputies say search warrants were obtained after they received an exploitation cyber tip from ICAC. Crouse was arrested and his items have been collected for forensic examination for material depicting child exploitation.
Crouse has been placed in the Caldwell County Detention Center under a $1,000,000.00 secured bond. His first appearance is set for 11/06/2023 in District Court in Lenoir, NC.
