Ice Skating Rink Launches At Camp North End On November 22nd

CHARLOTTE, N.C. Camp North End is excited to announce the return of the highly anticipated Mistletoe Market, this year with the addition of Ice Skating at Camp North Pole, an enchanting winter destination featuring a pop-up outdoor ice skating rink, igloo photo moments, seasonal drinks, a variety of seating options to watch the action, and a cozy warming station to serve as a respite from the elements.

“Between Mistletoe Market and seasonal décor throughout the districts, Camp North End’s holiday atmosphere is absolutely magical,” said Varian Shrum, Community Manager at Camp North End. “We’re so excited to take winter festivities to a new level this year with the addition of an ice skating rink at Camp North Pole!” 

Ice Skating at Camp North Pole

The public ice skating rink at Camp North Pole will officially open on Wednesday, November 22nd and run through Sunday, January 7th. The rink will be open daily, and ticket sales will be walk-up only. General admission is priced at $15 per person with children (5 and under) $10 per person. Skate rentals are included in the price of admission. Guests are welcome to use their own skates for no discount.

The ice rink will be located at 400 Camp Road and operate daily Monday through Thursday (4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.), Friday (4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.), Saturday (12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.) and Sunday (12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.). Note, closures can be expected during inclement weather.

  • Winter Break (Wed, Dec 20 – Tue, Jan 2): 12-10 PM daily*

The Lodge at Camp North Pole

Visitors are also invited into The Ford Factory, which will be decorated as a cozy chalet with a variety of festive seating. Open to coincide with the ice rink’s days and hours of operation, beloved Camp favorite NoDa Company Canteen will be serving up seasonal drinks and snacks daily. Additional programming such as winter movie nights and local partnerships taking place at this location will be announced throughout the season.

Mistletoe Market

Mistletoe Market, an annual holiday tradition, will also return for the sixth year in a row to Camp North End for three weekends on Saturday, December 2nd, December 9th, and December 16th. The market will provide visitors with a wide array of holiday delights including the opportunity to explore over 30 of Camp North End’s public-facing businesses, shop the Market Street huts, create memorable moments by the fire pits, and witness the return of hundreds of adorable, vintage blow mold penguins, as well as enjoy:
