Deputies: Denver Man Charged In Connection With Cook Out Robbery

DENVER, N.C. – A man has been charged with robbery of a Cook Out restaurant in Denver.

On November 8th around 11:30 p.m., a man dressed in all black clothing and wearing a mask reportedly entered the back door of the restaurant, according to a news release.

Sheriffs say the suspect indicated it was a robbery and removed the cash from the business’s cash registers before fleeing the restaurant into a nearby wooded area.

According to a news release, K-9 units and detectives were dispatched to the scene and began searching the area.

Officers say they located a suspicious individual at the Quick Trip gas station on Highway 73 and questioned him concerning the robbery. Shortly after, deputies arrested the suspect identified as  23-year-old Christian Foster on warrants out of Mecklenburg County.

A search of his vehicle revealed items that tied him to the robbery at the Cook Out.

Foster was charged with common law robbery and has been placed in the Harven A Crouse Detention Center under a $15,500 bail.
