Man “Pistol Whipped” At Charlotte Premium Outlets

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A person was pistol-whipped at the Charlotte Premium Outlets after finding someone attempting to carjack his vehicle Friday afternoon, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

Around 5 p.m. on Friday, November 10th, CMPD officers responded to the Charlotte Premium Outlets on New Fashion Way. Police say bystanders saw two men fighting in the parking lot when gunshots were heard.

Officers say that the victim was walking to his vehicle when he noticed a suspect attempting to carjack his vehicle. An altercation ensued, and the suspect allegedly fired one gunshot before pistol whipping the victim.

Police say nobody was hit by the stray bullet.

No arrests have been made at this time.
