Victim Identified In North Charlotte Double Shooting

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Police have identified the victim of a double shooting in north Charlotte that took place on West Sugar Creek Road on Monday, November 13th.
Police say 23-year-old Shikeem Sands shot Keia Garnett and another man.
Garnett, a mother of four, died at the hospital.
Sands faces four charges for first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department detectives are investigating a homicide on West Sugar Creek Road.
The shooting happened just before 5 p.m. on Monday.
Two people were shot with one sustaining life-threatening injuries and the other receiving minor injuries.
Police have now confirmed one of the shooting victims died. They have not said if anyone has been arrested in connection to the shooting.
