North Carolina Man Sentenced To Over 17 Years For Drug, Weapon Charges

GREENSBORO, N.C. – A judge sentenced one man from Mount Gilead, North Carolina to 210 months in prison over two drug and two firearm charges, according to the United States Attorney’s Office.

Sak Keosouma, 37, will spend more than 17 years after being indicted in March of this year. Keosuma entered a plea deal in May on two counts of possession with intent to distribute and two counts of possession of firearms.

According to the news release, investigators obtained approximately 138 grams of methamphetamine, 232 grams of fentanyl, 16 grams of heroin, 3,759 grams of marihuana and 230 grams of hallucinogenic mushrooms. Police also seized nearly $27,000.

Court documents also revealed that Keosouma was in possession of a Glock 9mm pistol, an Aero Precision multi-caliber rifle and nine untraceable firearms with no serial numbers.

The judge ordered Keosouma to forfeit all 11 firearms and more than 500 rounds of ammunition.

Keosouma will spend four years of supervised release following his prison sentence.
