YES! There is real rain in the forecast. Some will be heavy too.
A major rain maker will move in on Tuesday.
EXCERPT: A massive storm system in the Midwest is coming our way!
SUBTITLE: Drought-denting rain totals on the order of 1-3″ likely across the viewing area on Tuesday!
Finally, a big shift in our weather pattern! The Palmer Drought Index has been showing extreme drought conditions creeping towards Charlotte for some time. We already have extreme drought along the border of the Carolinas. Major instability is pushing our way with many communities picking up 1-3″ of rain on Tuesday. This will be a real soaker. Gusty winds will be likely and the possibility of a few thunderstorms will be included as well. We will stay weather wise!
Cooler air has been waiting behind this system for some time and will now have the fast track to slide like syrup down to the East coast and here at home! I expect the Thanksgiving eve parade to be mostly dry, but it will be cool and breezy. Thanksgiving day and beyond will continues to be quite cool and breezy too all the way into the weekend!
