Clouds are back with wet weather rolling in soon
EXCERPT: Here we go again! Clouds and showers will be here for much of the weekend, but how much?
SUBTITLE: A series of rainmaking systems slide through the Carolinas over the next few days.
Clouds are already on the make for the rest of Thursday PM. Clouds will build continue to overnight into our Friday morning as a powerful storm system approaches from the west. The rain should largely hold off until the afternoon, but a few showers are possible for your final morning commute of the workweek. Highs will top out in the 40s and 50s on Friday.
The most significant rain chances – and totals – lie on Saturday and Sunday. While neither day looks to be a washout, scattered showers will threaten throughout the weekend. Despite the clouds and rain, persistent breezes out of the southwest will push highs to above-normal values in the 50s and 60s for most. Any remnant moisture we see on Monday will clear out by the afternoon as a cold front slides through the Carolinas. Most communities across the WCCB Charlotte viewing area can expect anywhere between a quarter inch and a 1.50″ through Monday morning. Our first work week of December looks mainly sunny with near-normal temperatures in the 40s and 50s.
