Police Searching For Man Following A Shooting At Hickory Apartments
HICKORY, N.C. – Police are searching for a man accused of shooting a 22-year-old on Thursday afternoon at an apartment complex in Hickory.
After identifying Antonio Demon Wade, 55, as the suspect related to this case, investigators issued an arrest warrant, charging him with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or inflict serious injury, and possession of a firearm by a felon.
At approximately 4:15 p.m. on Thursday, November 30th, officers responded to the apartments on 7th Avenue SW after receiving reports of a person being shot.
Police say Keyontae Feon-Nyshon, 22, suffered a gunshot wound in his upper right arm. Officers say the injury is non-life threatening, but Jenkins left before police arrived to seek medical attention at Frye Regional Hospital.
Police say Jenkins was the only one injured in the shooting.
