Talk, Truth, Tea: Oprah Winfrey Dazzles During “The Color Purple” Premiere

CHARLOTTE, N.C.–The musical adaptation of “The Color Purple” is about to hit theaters and the stars of the film hit the premiere on Wednesday.
Oprah, who received an Oscar nomination for her role as Sophia, showed up in a purple gown , looking amazing and told one reporter that she loves the character of “Sophia” so much because she’s the only character in the film who already knew who she was. The film opens on Christmas day.
