Panthers Stadium Extends Naming Rights Agreement With Bank Of America

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Carolina Panthers and Bank of America agreed to an extension for the naming rights for Bank of America Stadium, the team announced Wednesday.

The agreement has been in place since 2004 when Bank of America took over the naming rights for the stadium.

At this time, it is unclear on the length of the extension agreement.

“We are proud that the stadium will continue to carry the name of one of Charlotte’s most iconic and philanthropic companies,” said President of the Carolina Panthers Kristi Coleman. “Extending our naming rights agreement not only speaks to the value of our partnership, but also underscores the mutual trust and shared commitment that defines our relationship.”

On top of the Panthers home games, Bank of America Stadium hosts nearly 40 annual major ticketed events, including Charlotte FC matches, concerts, the Duke’s Mayo Classic and the Duke’s Mayo Bowl.

Officials say that more than 1.85 million tickets were distributed for events at Bank of America Stadium last year.

The venue will also be one of the host sites for the CONMEBOL’s Copa America in 2024. The event is expected to bring in over 150,000 people next July.
