GASTONIA, N.C. – No charges will be filed against a FedEx driver for striking and killing a pedestrian on December 5th, according to the Gastonia Police Department.
Police originally responded to Brownstone Court where 83-year-old Kay Andrews suffered serious injuries in the crash. She was transported to CaroMont Regional Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
After an investigation, police determined that no charges were going to be filed against the FedEx driver, 38-year-old Yashica London.
Police announced the decision on Wednesday, December 13th.

GASTONIA, N.C. – A Gaston County woman died Tuesday afternoon after being struck by a Federal Express delivery vehicle, according to the Gastonia Police Department.
Police responded to 1911 Brownstone Court in connection to a female being struck by a FedEx vehicle. The incident took place at 3:53 p.m. on Tuesday, December 5th.
Police say the female victim was transported to CaroMont Regional Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
