CHESTER COUNTY, S.C. – A single-vehicle car crash on SC 223 in Chester County killed one Wednesday night, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Police say a 2006 Hyundai four-door sedan was traveling south on SC 223 near Mount Vernon Road. The driver allegedly ran off the road to the right, lost control and veered off the roadway to the left before striking a tree.
The crash happened at approximately 7:40 p.m. on Wednesday, December 13th on the highway just 3.1 miles east of Richburg, South Carolina.
Deputies say the driver was the sole occupant and died as a result of their injuries in the crash.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate this collision.
