CHARLOTTE, N.C. — An investigation into a suspicious package at Charlotte-Douglas International Airport has caused delays for travelers, according to a news release.
CMPD says an unattended bag sparked the investigation. Officers were able to locate the owner of the bag. The issue has been resolved and the airport has resumed normal operations, according to CMPD.
Officials say traffic delays continue around the airport so be sure to plan ahead and arrive early.
Airport officials say standard screening is open at Checkpoint 1 and Checkpoint E. TSA pre-check is available at Checkpoint C.
