GREENVILLE, S.C. – One person was killed near Greenville, South Carolina on Saturday night after the driver lost control to the right and struck a tree, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 11:13 p.m. on Saturday, December 23rd.
Police say a 2016 Ford sedan was traveling west on New Harrison Bridge Road near Richardson Road. The driver allegedly ran off the right side of the road, struck an embankment before hitting a tree.
The driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle and sustained fatal injuries.
This incident remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
