Fantasia & Rising’s Joe Duncan On The Purple Carpet At Private Movie Screening

CHARLOTTE, N.C.– Rising’s Joe Duncan interviewed Fantasia Barrino on the purple carpet during her private screening of  “The Color Purple”. Fantasia opened up about the difficult task of playing the role of Celie in the film. She also discussed being in therapy and why she was hesitant about taking on the role. The movie had the biggest Christmas day opening of nay film in history since 2009.
