Heavy Flames, Fire Damages Concord Home

CONCORD, N.C. – The Concord Fire Department battled heavy flames to control a fire set to a Concord Home on Sunday morning.

Firefighters responded to 228 Edgewater Drive NW in Concord at 5:01 a.m. for a reported house fire. Upon arrival, CFD said that heavy flames and smoke was visible from both floors of the home.

The fire was controlled in approximately 33 minutes by 25 total firefighters.

Nobody was home during the fire, and no injuries were reported.

The Concord Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
