Pilot Killed In Fatal Airplane Crash In Iredell County

IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. – A pilot operating a single-engine plane died after striking several trees and crashing into an abandoned house.

Randy Mysliviec, of Mooresville, was identified as the pilot. The NC State Highway Patrol reported the crash site in Iredell County near Adrian Lane on Sunday, December 31st at approximately 12:15 p.m.

Authorities say Mysliviec attempted to land a single engine plane at the Lake Norman Airport. On his way, he struck several trees and crashed into an abandoned house site.

Medic transported Mysliviec to Lake Norman Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

This crash is under investigation by the FAA.
