Parents Charged After Infant Baby Was Exposed To Fentanyl

SALISBURY, N.C. – Two parents in Salisbury, North Carolina were charged with child abuse after their infant was exposed to high levels of fentanyl, police say.

On Wednesday, December 27th, the Salisbury Police Department say they were made aware of an infant taken to Novant Hospital for a possible overdose exposure.

An investigation revealed that the infant was exposed to a high level of fentanyl while under the parent’s care.

The parents – Phillip Wayne Ketchie and Felisha Nicole Robinson – were arrested on Wednesday, January 3rd. Both face a felony charge for child abuse.

Ketchie and Robinson remain in the Rowan County Detention Center on $50,000 bond.
