KANNAPOLIS, N.C. – One person is dead and another was injured in a shooting overnight in Kannapolis.
The deadly shooting happened around 2 a.m. on Sunday, January 7th at S&M E-Juice at 1121 S. Cannon Boulevard.
Kannapolis Police officers that responded to the scene found two people suffering from gunshot wounds. Authorities say both victims were taken to the Atrium-Cabarrus hospital.
Shovontae Shikim Byers, 23, died as a result of his injuries. Quentin Parhams, 28, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Police have not made any arrests for this case.
