Toyota of North Charlotte: Everything We Love About The 2024 Toyota GR86 Trueno Edition

Big news on the sports car front – the 2024 Toyota GR86 Trueno Edition is headed to Toyota of N Charlotte! This limited-edition ride is a nod to the original Toyota AE86 – also known as the Sprinter Trueno in Japan – and has retro styling cues in addition to a sporty, aggressive performance. However, only 860 of them will be up for grabs! That’s why our N Charlotte Toyota dealership is here. We’ve got the details on this limited-run special edition and we’re ready to help you put one in the driveway.

The 2024 Toyota GR86 Trueno Edition blends retro style with modern performance

Like we said, the 2024 Toyota GR86 Trueno Edition is a throwback. Not only is it sporting its predecessor’s nameplate, but it’s also emulating its style. The original model had pop-up headlights, edgy lift back styling, two-toned paint, and more during its heyday in the 1980s. The modern model will showcase similar elements and also have Trueno badging throughout to honor its heritage. The cost won’t be the same, though – we aren’t totally sure of the MSRP this limited edition N Charlotte Toyota will have, but we’re estimating it’ll be between $35-40k.

You’ll love the retro styling on this N Charlotte Toyota

Like we said, this new Toyota sports car will offer two-toned paint and retro badging to honor its predecessor. However, here’s what else you can expect in terms of aesthetics from the 2024 Toyota GR86 Trueno Edition:

  • Two paint choices – Halo and Track bRed
  • A black rear duckbill spoiler
  • 10-spoke 18-inch black metallic wheels (we’re obsessed)
  • Black Trueno graphics to add more throwback vibes to the side panels
  • LED lighting (no pop up headlights, but we’ll take it)
  • An ultrasuede and red leather trimmed interior with red stitching accents
  • A low-slung cabin that’s reminiscent of a cockpit
  • A red-stitched shift gear that pairs with a leather-wrapped steering wheel
  • Standard all-weather floor mats that also have original Trueno badging

You’ll turn heads – trust us. Plus, the cabin is more than just looks. It has features like a push-button start, an 8-inch touchscreen audio system with six speakers, and more LED lighting. There’s also tons of safety woven into the functionality. You’ll get the Active Safety System, as well as features like Pre-Collision Throttle Management, Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic High Beams, and Lead Vehicle Start Alert.

Does this new N Charlotte Toyota make you think of the Initial D car?

One more throwback fact for you – the 2024 Toyota GR86 Trueno Edition is gathering a whole other group of fans because it resembles the Initial D car. Initial D is a manga-turned-anime series that tells the tale of a downhill racer named Takumi Fujiwara. He drives a Toyota AE86 – the Initial D car.
