One Dead, Another Seriously Injured In York County Car Crash

ROCK HILL, S.C. – One person was killed and another was seriously injured after a car crash in York County Thursday morning, according to South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The wreck happened around 10:45 a.m. on Leslie Highway near Stone Post Lane, approximately five miles east of Rock Hill.

Police say a GMC Sierra truck was traveling north on Leslie Highway when it collided with a Kia Optima on the driver side. The GMC driver then went off the road to the left and overturned.

Paramedics pronounced the Kia driver dead on the scene. The GMC driver was seriously injured and transported by medical personnel to a local hospital.

No charges have been filed for this crash.
