The following schools are closed or will be operating on a delay/remote learning due to inclement weather.
School Closings:
Avery County Schools will be closed with an optional workday for staff. Faculty and staff may report at 10am.
Watauga County will operate on an Inclement Weather Remote Learning Day – No students will report to school buildings. Teachers and other instructional staff may choose to work remotely. Staff who are reporting to a school building for work may report on a two-hour delay.
All K-8 students will begin instruction at 10am and the follow the schedule provided by their teachers. WVA students will follow the set schedule established by WVA. All high school students will begin instruction at 10:30am.
The Holiday/Snow Day Program at Hardin Park and Parkway School is scheduled to open at 7:30m
