17-Year-Old Killed In Southeast Charlotte Wreck

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department has identified the victim involved in the fatal car crash on East W.T. Harris Boulevard Wednesday afternoon.

The victim, identified as 17-year-old Daunte Palmer, was found dead at the scene.

The crash involved three vehicles – a 1999 Ford Escort, a 2010 Infinity G37 and a 2012 BMW 335i.

An investigation into the crash indicates that the Infinity struck the BMW, causing it to hit the Ford vehicle.

Palmer, driving the Ford vehicle, lost control and struck a tree.

The crash remains under investigation.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person was killed in a wreck in southeast Charlotte Wednesday evening, according to CMPD.

The wreck happened on East W.T. Harris Boulevard near East Independence Boulevard at approximately 4:48 p.m. on January 17th.
