Suspects In Custody After Hitting A Police Cruiser Twice With A Stolen Vehicle

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Two suspects have been arrested after stealing a motor vehicle and hitting a police cruiser twice in south Charlotte.

Officers were notified of a stolen vehicle around 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 18th. Police identified the vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the vehicle drove off.

Police say the suspect vehicle continued to drive recklessly and erratically away from pursuing officers before hitting a civilian’s vehicle.

Shortly thereafter, the suspect vehicle struck a police cruiser twice along Farmhurst Drive.

Officers say the suspects ran from the vehicle but were quickly arrested.

None of the officers involved in the incident were injured.
