GASTONIA, N.C. – One person was killed in an overnight, single-vehicle car crash on Interstate 85 in Gastonia, according to the Gastonia Police Department.
The incident occurred on I-85 southbound near exit 19 at approximately 4 a.m. on Sunday, January 21st.
Police said I-85 south was temporarily closed during the initial investigation, but the highway has since opened back up.
The male victim was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, authorities said.
