HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. – A man accused of driving while impaired has been arrested after allegedly crashing head-on into a school bus on Tuesday, according to a police report.
Officers say the incident involved a CMS school bus that was traveling westbond when a green SUV crossed the center line, colliding head-on with the left front corner of the school bus.
Following the collision, the driver, identified as 39-year-old Brent Alexander was arrested on multiple charges including driving while impaired, felony hit and run, carrying a concealed weapon, careless and reckless driving, left of center, and expired registration.
Despite the severity of the incident, some minor injuries were reported by Mr. Alexander and students on the CMS school bus.
