One Victim Dies In Hospital Following South Charlotte Triple Shooting

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Two adults and a teen were hospitalized after a shooting in south Charlotte.

CMPD says officers were called to Lake Mist Drive near Old Pineville Road shortly after 10:30pm on Thursday, January 26th in reference to a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located a 19-year-old man, a 21-year-old woman, and a 15-year-old girl suffering from gunshot wounds. All three victims were transported to a local hospital with serious injuries, according to a news release.

Witnesses say the shooting reportedly took place next to a dumpster in an apartment complex during an argument over an oil change. Police have not released any suspect information at this time. Anyone with information about this shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
