PINEVILLE, N.C. — Witnesses tell WCCB that an attempted smash and grab robbery just happened at a jewelry store inside Carolina Place Mall in Pineville.
The incident happened before 11am. Witnesses on the scene say they heard loud noises. Witnesses also say mall security and police determined someone tried to smash the glass to one of the jewelry cases inside Diamonds By David at the mall.
Pineville Police confirm they have officers on the scene but no other details have been released at this time. WCCB has a crew on the way.
