CONCORD, N.C. – The Concord Police Department is conducting a homicide investigation after a man was shot and killed in northeast Concord on Sunday night.
The incident happened around 9:54 p.m. on Sunday, January 28th at the intersection of American Avenue NE and Madison Avenue NE. Officers responded to this location to aid a man lying in the road suffering from a gunshot wound.
Concord Fire Department officials attempted to render life-saving aid but were unsuccessful and the man died at the scene.
Police later identified the victim as 33-year-old Jermaine Forrest.
