Third Arrest Made In Mount Holly Double Homicide Investigation

MOUNT HOLLY, N.C. – The Mount Holly Police Department arrested a third suspect related to the double homicide on December 14th, 2023 that killed two 19 year olds, Jaylan Jackson and Jayden Munson.

Marquan Marshall, 20, of Gastonia, was arrested Thursday in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Marshall has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder.

SECOND ARREST MADE (1/12/24, 6:01 P.M.)

MOUNT HOLLY, N.C. – A second suspect was arrested in connection to a double homicide that occurred in Mount Holly on December 14th, 2023.

The Mount Holly Police Department arrested Zabreon Isaiah Wallace, 18, on Friday, January 12th in Fairmount, North Carolina.

Wallace was charged two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Police say the charges are related to the deaths of Jaylan Marray Jackson, 19, and Jayden Dae’shun Munson, 19.

This marks the second arrest made in connection to this case. On Friday, December 29th, 2023, officers arrested a 17-year-old in New York in connection to the double homicide.

MOUNT HOLLY, N.C. — The Mount Holly Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that claimed the lives of two men on Piedmont Avenue and Dodge Street Thursday evening.

Officers were called to the area in reference to a shooting just after 8pm. Upon arrival, two men were found suffering from gunshot wounds inside a vehicle, according to a news release. Despite first aid efforts rendered at the scene by first responders, both men were pronounced dead, according to a news release.

The names of the victims have not been released at this time. No arrests have been made. Anyone with information on this double homicide is asked to call 911 immediately.
