DAVIDSON, N.C . – A fraternity at Davison college has been suspended for five years due to hazing allegations, according to a statement from the university.
During the spring semester the campus chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon reportedly acknowledged it engaged in hazing of new members, participated in the college’s accountability process, and received an outcome that appealed.
According to a statement confirmed by the university, the appeals process concluded at the end of the most recent fall semester and confirmed the allegations.
As a result, the campus chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon has been suspended for five years.
Students will have the opportunity to join the chapter following completion of the suspension.
